Yup, we're getting married!

After every wedding milestone (i.e. booking the church, distributing our invites, getting our marriage license), Oliver would always turn to me and say, "Hon wala na 'tong atrasan!!!" and then I roll my eyes and then Oliver would give off a slow "He. He. He." This has been our shtick for the past ten months since getting engaged.

But despite Oliver's futile attempts at needling me into a nervous breakdown because of our napipintong kasal I never really felt pressured about the marriage bit. Pressured about the wedding, why yes and like how! But not the getting married part.

Can't hardly wait.
Only 36 days to go. Hon, wala na 'tong atrasan! :-)

Eraserheads 03.07.09

At a loss as to what to wear to what could possibly be the best concert of my life, I decided to wear my "Sylar took my power" shirt. It doesn't possess any Eheads significance but it's pretty amusing seeing Heroes fans (well, what's left of them) doing a double take.

Jake had the foresight of getting an Eheads shirt for the concert. Actually he had his shirt made...in a sweat shop, using child labor. Bad Jake, baaad.

Oliver and I bought Gold tickets. Initially, we were congratulating ourselves for forking out the moolah to get Gold tickets because the Gold area wasn't so crowded.

However, the crowd eventually grew into this monstrosity:

As we always do, Oliver and I killed time taking pictures.

Oliver's Bad-Ass-Look

Night Vision

Sepia

Cooky

The concert started with a montage of old MTV interviews of the Eheads and a lot of stock footage of UP. I couldn't help but scream my lungs out everytime any UP icon came out. At one point, they flashed a picture of a street sign of the "University Avenue" and I went completely nuts! Think cymbal-banging-monkey. That manic. Too much school spirit I tells yah.

This particular pic called my attention. I like to call it their "pre-milyonaryo" pic.

The concert started with the song Magasin complete with fireworks!  Nakita kita sa isang magasin...

Ely, Raimund, Markus, and Buddy seemed to have enjoyed this concert more than the first one.

During the intermission, we tried taking candid pics.

Failing miserably, we just went back to taking "normal" pics. Practice for pre-nup hehe...

And when the Eheads came back, galing ng set up nila! There was a sala set onstage. Mukhang set ng sitcom. Central Perk on Friends?  The guys were just chilling out on the sofa singing ala acoustic. It was the coolest thing ever!

They also paid tribute to Francis M. singing Superproxy and Kaleidoscope World.

I like this next pic because it shows the general vibe of the crowd that night: TOTALLY ROCKIN'!

Ely lit up the upright piano featured on the album cover of Stickerhappy. Never saw arson look so cool! Haha...

The guys gave a rockin' encore singing Ligaya (Ilang awit pa ba ang aawitin o giliw ko?..), Sembreak  (Dear Kim, kamusta bakayson mo...) and Toyang (They try to tell us we're too young...).

So were we satisfied with the final set?

Hell yeah!
No doubt about it, the Eheads gave us one hell of a show! Thank you Eheads!

Uuuy, group hug sila! Well, somewhat. PS: Paging Jazz Nicolas, I loooove your  Voltes V tee!
