A Jog Around UP

After a particularly harrowing work week, I went to UP hoping to jog my worries away. It definitely did the trick.

They were fixing the sidewalks and installing tiles made out of tisa. I could just imagine how much prettier the oval would look with its spankin' new tiles.

When I'd get tired from running (kah,kah...as Niknok Manok would say when out of breath) I'd sit on one of these Louie Beltran Benches or LBBs as Sankie would call it.

It being such a UP icon, I couldn't resist taking a picture of an Ikot jeep.

I saw this lonely manong...

...and thought of introducing him to this ale...

...but figured magseselos si magtataho.

Even in black and white, UP can take your breath away.



But of course, seeing UP in color is still the best for a tired soul.


I took a detour going towards the lagoon...

...and it was pretty shocking to see the lagoon all dried up. It was mostly muddy but there were patches of water here and there. But wonder of wonders, I chanced upon this lotus flower in one of the puddles.

I took another sidetrip towards the ampitheater and passed by this statue by Abueva and Sons.


I walked around the back of the admin building and couldn't help but think how lucky I was to be in UP on such a beautiful day.




After acting all manic taking pictures in the ampitheater, I went back and finished my run around the oval.
